Dales Ponies

In 2005 Sowermire Larry, and 2 fillies, were imported from England. With the most appreciated help of Anna Hill who searched all of England for the best ponies from excellent breeders and bloodlines.
In 2006 Gullivers Smuggler and Thornville Jade were purchased and delivered to the farm. Jade was bred before departing England and a celebrated birth of Forest Hills Collette laid the ground work for the new beginning.
The ponies were chosen as breeding stock with much attention given to refresh existing as well as to introduce new bloodlines into the states.
All ponies are Section A. and there is a variety of colors. The ponies are worked several times a week and most are handled daily. They are DPS(Dales Pony Society) registered.
Most of these fine ponies are offered for sale. A deposit will hold a place for you until breeding season begins if you would like a choice in selecting a stallion to one of the mares on the farm for a baby the following year.

The Farm
As a child growing up in a family of girls staggered very close together. My fondest and first memories of horses start with a Shetland pony named Blackie. Orneriest little guy you'd ever encounter. I loved the the farm life, that the family would visit on weekends, as we lived in the city. It was more fitting to our way of life where all the siblings and Mom and Dad would gather for wonderful inspiration, recuperation, and just plain hanging out. Dad loved keeping his kids close. Those days I watched my Mom and Dad, and always wanted to keep vivid memories alive.
So hear I am 45 years later after raising Friesians and Andalusians I've back at the ponies. The Dales came to mind after seeing a photo in a book of Ms. FitzGerald's with Stainton's Darkie as seen on the DPS website driving in a very exciting manner which sparked that old desire of driving with a pony just like that.
Now I have my own stallions and mares with their babies and desire to share a part of my life with the rest of the world. May that same spark of inspiration be a fulfilling part of your life as it was in mine. Above all else may these Dales be a blessing to you as they are to me.
I owe so much gratitude to my parents who recently past at age 92 to leave me with such a heart for life and little bit of heaven. I want to leave my sons with that same legacy. I also want to Thank Anna Hill who so willingly searched England and hand picked such beautiful ponies to compliment and carry on the Dales wonderful traits. I want to thank Lori for a most representation of who I am. Adventure abound as you seek hidden treasures while you tour the website.
